Simon Vibert

Simon Vibert grew up in the lovely island of Jersey.  Hence he has retained a love of all things aquatic, such as fishing and sailing.

After a short career in banking as part of his training for church leadership, Simon studied theology in London, Glasgow and America.

He was ordained in Carlisle where he spent three years as a curate, then serving in churches in Buxton and Wimbledon.

From 2007-2017 Simon was vice principal and tutor in Preaching and Leadership at the Anglican Theological College, Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford.

Simon and Carrie moved to Virginia Water in Autumn 2017 and share the ministry here. They have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Alongside entertaining the grandchildren and dog, his pastimes include golf, tennis and cycling.

Simon has written 5 books in the areas of John's gospel, marriage, preaching and Christian living in the 21st century.

A return to parish based ministry, for Simon,  is focused around his favourite bible verse "for me to live is Christ, to die is gain" (Philippians 1.21).

He is keen to meet you in person, either at church of in the local community!
