We are delighted to welcome Gerald Osborne here on 4 April to an evening recital.  There will be a refreshments interval during the course of the evening which will be divided into two acts.  You may not have attended a recital like Gerald's before but do not be discouraged: He brings the characters and the situations in Mark's gospel to life in a vivid and engaging way.  Whether you are new to church or have been a Christian for many years you will see something new in the pages of the Bible.

See the link in 'recent news' below for more information.

Join us on this great day to celebrate with us the miracle of Christ's resurrection.

If you do not normally attend church, or have not been in a long while, come to one (or more!) of our Easter services.  We welcome you and look forward to meeting you.

"for when we were still far off, you met us in your Son and brought us home"

Lent is a great time of reflection amidst our busy lives. Join us in any of our services, as we travel through this time, on to the great day of Easter.

imageAre you new to church?  We look forward to welcoming you this weekend.

We have an All Age Service on Sunday at 10:30 suitable for the whole family.  We will be looking at the story of Ruth.

In the morning we have our regular 08:00 Holy Communion Service (1662) and in the evening we have an informal service of Holy Communion at 18:30 and continue with our teaching series in Colossians.

If you are new please visit the Welcome Desk and pick up one of our welcome bags.  Please stay for coffee after the service if you would like

imageWith the Royal Holloway University campus just a 5 minute drive away, we are ideally located to offer students the chance to meet together and to become part of a local Church during their university years. We run a minibus to Sunday services, leaving the bus stop by the tennis courts at 10:10 and 18:10, or Waitrose car park (in Egham) at 10:00 and 18:00.

Christ Church has a real passion for serving students and young adults, and wants to equip all who attend to grow in their faith.

The student and young adult ministry is built around the church’s vision of “knowing Jesus and making Jesus known.” The events that are run for the students and young adults are intended to make that vision a reality, and to ensure that this happens the students and young adults have also adopted 1 Peter 3:15:

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,"

Welcome to the youth ministry at Christ Church Virginia Water! We aim to give the youth the skills they need to cope in challenging situations, and to give them a strong biblical foundation that will enable them to navigate through a constantly changing world. We offer programs and activities in a safe, friendly environment that allows them to express who they are while nurturing their unique abilities and strengths. We run age specific youth groups on Friday evenings during term time and on a Sunday morning. We also offer a mid-week bible study for youths aged 14-18, as well as encouraging the youth to attend a Sunday service.

Christ Church Virginia Water is a family!  We have one common goal and that is to know Jesus and to make him known. We encourage the youth to live lives that express the love that Jesus Christ teaches and to live lives that serve others.

In addition we offer 1-1 mentoring and other relational ministry, and special events ranging from music concerts to surfing! For details of all our activities, please visit the  or contact  our youth and young adult pastor. We look forward to welcoming you into our family.

imageWe warmly welcome children of all ages to Christ Church. Your children, from 0 - 5, can go into Sunday Clubs just before the start of the service from 10.20.  If you have older children, they join the first 10 minutes or so of our Sunday services before, if they wish, joining our Sunday Clubs for 5 - 11s. These run every Sunday at 10:40 except the first Sunday of the month when there is an exciting All Age Service. For more information on our clubs please click here.

All Age Services

Children are encouraged to get involved in our monthly All Age Services in a variety of ways from being on the door to greet the congregation, reading from the Bible, taking part in drama and singing.

imageProv 27:17  As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
Faith is a journey.... and we can struggle with the walk alone, or we can find strength and support in doing it together.  We have several men’s groups doing various activities, doing life together and supporting one another.  So whether you enjoy walking, camping, golf, Bible Study or prayer, there is a men’s group for you.  We also encourage guys to be in a Home Group, but it is good to get together as men, look out for one another, have fun, and learn together.  If you would like to more details then either email us at , or contact us individually:
Bible Study (weekly, breakfast and study) – Ken Edwards
Camping (ad hoc weekends) – Brent Owens
Prayer groups (weekly/monthly, evening, food, chat & pray) – Brent Owens, Will Bissett
Walking (monthly) – Dave Thomas
We'll be more than happy to tell you about our respective groups, and welcome you along if you want to join with us!  It's always good to have new men join us on the journey.
