What is Hope In Depression?

Hope in Depression is a 6 week course designed to support adults suffering from depression and anxiety. We will look at what depression is, brain chemistry, therapy, nutrition and lifestyle changes proven to aid recovery.

Who is Hope In Depression for?

It is for anyone over the age of 18 who has suffered with depression and anxiety or those who are supporting a sufferer.

How is Hope In Depression run?

Guests sit in small groups around a table with a host.  There is a different topic each week with expert speakers who share their valuable knowledge and answer questions.  There is also a small amount of group discussion and a chance to chat at the beginning and in the coffee break.

How much does the course cost?

The course is run free of charge to make it accessible to all, although it is appreciated, if you are able, to make a donation towards the cost of printing and refreshments.

What happens during the evening?

The course runs for two hours with a break for tea and coffee mid-way.  The course is run in a friendly, tolerant and confidential environment, with all participants signing a terms agreement before we start.  This enables all guests to talk and ask questions freely and feel accepted.

Where do we meet?

Usually run in the evening mid-week, the course takes place at Christ Church, Virginia Water and in other locations around Surrey and Berkshire.  Please look out for our advert in connection magazine, on the Christ Church website or on our own website www.hopeindepression.org which will be published in Spring 2019 for future dates.
