Our Children's Ministry is a thriving area of our Church with many local families supporting and serving in our children's activities with Sunday Clubs, two weekly Parent & Toddler Groups and lots of family events throughout the year. is our Children & Families Pastor. Jeremy is a former primary school teacher who has been leading Children's Ministry at various churches since 1994.
Our Sunday Clubs
Our youngest members, from 0 - 5 can go into Sunday Clubs just before the start of the service from 10.20. Older children join the first 10 minutes or so of our Sunday services before, if they wish, joining our Sunday Clubs for 5 - 11s. These run every Sunday at 10:40 except the first Sunday of the month when there is an exciting All Age Service. For more information on our clubs please click here.
All Age Services
Children are encouraged to get involved in our monthly All Age Services
in a variety of ways from being on the door to greet the congregation,
reading from the Bible, taking part in drama and singing.
Special Events
We run a number of special events throughout the year. Recently we've run a Polar Explorers Holiday Club, an Explorer's/Forest School Day Away, and a Light Party. Around Christmas we have our Messy Christmas event on 21st December, and there is a children's nativity service on 23rd December and a Christmas Eve Christingle.
Christ Church Infant School

Our Children's Ministry Ethos
We are a community of believers which teaches and models how to follow
Christ. Our mission is to support parents who wish to lay down a
foundation that in time will lead a child into a personal relationship
with God through Jesus Christ. We aim to partner with parents in
communicating the greatness of God, the glory of Christ and the power of
the Gospel.
With that in mind we teach:
that the Bible is the word of God and the handbook for life
who God is
who we are in relation to Him and our state of separation from Him through our sin
who Jesus is and what He has done for us
how we can meet with God daily through readng His word and prayer
the role of the Holy Spirit in equipping us to live for God
Our ministry to children is based on the principles that it
is Bible-centred, child-targeted, fun, safe, life-relevant
and age-appropriate.
Our aim is to provide the best hour of every child's week; we pray that
the impact of the ministry will last the other 167 hours!
