Rohintan Mody
I am the Associate Vicar/Pastor at Christ Church. I converted to the Lord Jesus Christ from an Indian Zoroastrian/Parsee background, and indeed I am the only person from a Parsee background in full-time Christian ministry in the world. I also worked as an investment banker in the City of London before training for ministry at the Cornhill Training Course and Oak Hill College. After my training I did my curacy at St. Luke’s Wolverhampton. After my curacy I did some further research in the New Testament at Tyndale House, Cambridge and Aberdeen University. I attend Proclamation Trust conferences and am a member of the Oak Hill College council, Theology For All (Tyndale Fellowship Associates) Committee, and Reform. I am a committed evangelical in the Anglican Reformed tradition. My passion is teaching the Bible so that we present everyone mature in Christ. I would like to see scholarship and the church working together so that the academy is aware of the concerns of the church and the fruits of biblical and theological research are made available to thinking Christians. My theological interests include religious pluralism and Biblical Theology. My heroes are Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Jonathan Edwards. I love cooking, entertaining, and opera. I am married to Rita and we have one daughter, Charis. |
